Why do some of my songs show up as "Unknown" or are blank in the HALdmc screen even though they show up in other music players?

Some other players show the file name or path as the song name and not the song information (song "tag"). This is a way to identify the song if there isn't any song information. Since there isn't a standard way music files are named, there isn't an easy way to determine if the information is correct or if it's representing the name of the song or the artist or both.

The HALdmc allows you to view and edit the song information, including the path, by right-clicking on the song in the Master Song List field of the HALdmc screen and selecting MODIFY SONG INFO. In the screen that appears, you can add or modify any of the information fields, except the path to the file location.
