I changed the SMTP Outgoing server to 465 from 587
Now I get a message "An error occurred in the protocol"

I tried what you said and made some changes but, still no luck. I am using my att uverse e-mail witch I think is pop3

When I go to the "Halultra - Internet information page" and do an update, I get a partial message

"The connection has been dropped because of a failure or because the peer system failed respond....
