Default What Wall Switches Do You Use

I have been using the Smarthome Switchlinc 2466DW switches for about 8 years now, but I find them terribly unreliable. I feel like I am replacing 2-3 per year, and I have 7 that need to be replaced right now.

What dimmable switches do you all use, and how do you like them? Communication protocol doesn't matter.

I use UPB... standard wall switches and the 240 (I think )... it has 4 buttons and the main toggle. I've have zero problems with them so far (going on 5 years and never replaced a single one).

I use all UPB switches, some with dimmers, some with timers. I get all of mine through www.automatedoutlet.com

Their web page use to have all the different types listed, but I think it's better if you give them a call if you decide to order. I've never had a UPB switch go bad on me yet, and I've replaced over 40 of them throughout my house.

I'll put in my 2 cents. I used the Insteon Keypadlinc8. I have 15 of these installed. While they work great, and seem to rarely miss, they ARE unreliable. I'm constantly replacing these, just as you are your switches. I bet I replace one to three of them every year. At $70 each, it's a bit ridiculous. And they always seem to fail JUST after the warranty ends. I wish Smarthome/InsteonLabs would build these to last.

Update. Another FOUR of my Keypadlinc8's are in the process of failing. I've sent Smarthome THREE emails about the issues, and have yet to receive a single reply from them. (it's been over 3 weeks since I've sent the emails).

If there was another technology that had something very similar to the keypadlincs, I'd switch in a heartbeat. Alas, keypads with 8 buttons like this seem to only be available from Insteon/Smarthome.
