Default Insteon phasing out x-10 support

I just received news from Insteon support that "X-10 support was removed in revision 3.6 of the lamp modules. (LampLinc Dimmers #2457D2)"
"It is something that we are planning on gradually phasing out of newer units"

Can I create a rule or condition where if I send an X10 house/unit on (E2 on ) HAL will turn on the Insteon LampLinc Dimmer Module?

This would be sent from an x-10 wireless remote, as I have the remote, plugin transceiver, and Smarthome USB Powerlinc.

I don't want to buy an Insteon remote just to turn on / off two lamps.
TIA

So since I had no replies, I dug in deeper and figured it out myself and am sharing here.
At first trying real X10 defined devices in HAL didn't work, so create virtual devices.
The Virtual device rule had to be Triggered - Condition is met when device...ON
So now using my X10 RF remotes I can turn on off Insteon Lamplink plugin modules instead of buying an Insteon remote.
