Default Sensor Input Status

In a previous communications, there was a mention of adding the capability to query the status of a sensor input without having to re-booting Hal. Is that still a possibility in Hal Ultra V6?

Thanks,

Yes, you can get the status of a sensor in HAL v1-v6. Can you explain what it is that you are trying to do specifically?

Regards,

Tim

Default Re: Sensor Input Status

I am using a UPB UMI-32 sensor inputs with simple contact closure to trigger the input. It works better than 90% of the time and HAL sees the contact closure and reports correctly. Occasionally HAL will not see the contact closure. The UMI-32 reports correctly on the status on the sensor input via the LED on the device itself, whether it is on or off. HAL does not.
The only way to reset HAL is to reboot, and then it sees the correct input at that time.
The error log does not give enough information to provide the clues necessary to see where the problem occurs.
Is there a way to query the UMI-32 sensor input without rebooting HAL?

Thanks,
