Yes, with the correct equipment. There is a list of compatible devices on the Interfaces page. An infrared interface can learn infrared commands from existing remote controls and then send them, when commanded by the computer, out to infrared emitters that are in front of the equipment you want controlled.

NOTE: Some interface devices may require additional computer resources, such as serial ports. For more information, check the device's literature or contact the manufacturer.
