Version 7 Automation Setup Screens Filter by You are here: Home Automated Living » Automation Setup Screens Devices With HAL's new Automation Setup interface, its never been easier to add or modify devices, macros, scenes, rules, groups and schedules. Easily cut and paste between windows. Data Columns Configure which columns are visible in various Areas or select a default predefined set of columns. Relationships From any area you can now see the Relationships of a selected item by selecting Relationships from the Data tool tab, right mouse popup menu or hitting Control-R. Groups Devices can belong to multiple Groups for instant control of the Group's member devices. Groups can be comprised of devices of just one lighting protocol or can belong to a generic HAL group. Macros Macros can now contain option words or phrases to create multiple ways of triggering a particular Macro instead of creating the same macro Actions simply to have a alternative speech trigger. Rules Rules can contain multiple levels of If-Then-Else logic. There are also a number of new conditionals available and additional parameters to enhance capabilities of existing conditionals. Schedules Schedules can now be color coded to reflect certain information and new data columns now show which house modes a Schedule is associated. Visual Schedules The Visual Schedules view allows for a graphical representation of schedules for a selected period and allows for resizing or drag and drop modifications. Views You can now arrange the various window Areas so that you can see multiple areas and even cut and paste between areas via popup menu options or quick keys. Event Logs The event log can now be accessed from the Automation Setup and can still be used from System Settings. There are new helpful tools for searching Logs and Reports. Logs Previously to view various logs maintained by HAL you needed to go to the HAL Logs directory. Now any available log can be viewed from the Home tool tab. Customization Automation Setup now allows you to customize the Toolbars, Commands, Quick Access Toolbar and other options. If you use a particular button frequently, it can be positioned on the Quick Access Toolbar. Tags Tags allow you to organize items in any of the various Areas into groupings. An element such as a Device could be a member of multiple tags for organizational purposes. All / Areas / Reports / Views / Other
