How do I create my own song lists?

Creating Custom Song Lists

Open the DMC to the main screen. To do so, right-click on the ear icon and select OPEN DIGITAL MUSIC CENTER (this option was added when the DMC was installed). After that, use one of the methods below to create a song list.

 

SAVE BUTTON
When you have all the songs you want in the Current Song List field (see below), click the SAVE button. A screen will appear asking for the name of the new song list. Type a name and click SAVE. The song list will appear in the Custom Song Lists field.

NEW BUTTON
Click the NEW button. A screen will appear asking for the name of the new song list. Type a name and click SAVE. Use one of the drag-and-drop methods below to add songs to the Custom Song Lists field. After adding all of the songs you want to this song list, click the SAVE button.

NOTE: Clicking the NEW button automatically clears all songs from the Current Song List field. If you add songs to the Current Song List field then want to make a song list containing those songs, use the SAVE button instead (see above).

Adding Songs to Custom Song Lists

CUSTOM SONG LIST FIELD
Use one of the drag-and-drop methods below to drag one or more songs from the Master Song Lists field to the Custom Song Lists field. Drop the songs on the title of a custom song list to add them to that song list. Click the plus (+) icon next to the custom song list to expand it, if it?s not already expanded. The newly added songs will be included in the list.

You will need to reload the modified list into the Current Song List field in order to load the new songs that were added. Also, using the SAVE button will overwrite the existing song list with the list of songs that are currently in the Current Song List field, so if you don?t reload the modified song list before clicking the SAVE button then the songs that were added previously will be overwritten with whatever is currently in the Current Song List field. (Clicking the SAVE button is not necessary to resave the custom song list if the songs were dragged to a song list in the Custom Song Lists field.)

CURRENT SONG LIST FIELD
Load a custom song list using one of the methods explained in "Playing Songs" (see above). Use one of the drag-and-drop methods to add one or more songs to the Current Song List field. You can also add a song by double-clicking on it in the Master Song Lists field. Once all of the songs that you want to add are in the Current Song List field, click the SAVE button. A screen will appear with the name of this song list already listed ? click SAVE to overwrite the previous list with this new list. You can also type a different name if you want to save the list under a different name (the original list will still be available under the original name and with the original list of songs).

Dragging-and-Dropping Songs

Use this method to add one or more songs to the Current Song List field for playing or creating custom song lists. You can also use this method to add songs to existing custom song lists by dragging the songs to the specific song list in the Custom Song Lists field.

Left-click on a song in the Master Song Lists field to select it (the Master Song Lists field should be set to LIST view). When the song is selected (highlighted), left-click on it again, hold it for a second, and drag it up to the Current Song List field or to the title of an existing song list in the Custom Song Lists field. The song name will appear in the field to which it was dragged.
