I upgraded to version 1.3.50 and I get an "RT Error 430" message when HAL starts.

If you upgraded to version 1.3.50 and get an "RT Error 430" when starting HAL, then follow the instructions below to correct the problem.
  • Shut down HAL.

  • Right-click on the appropriate link below and select "Save Link As" (Netscape) or "Save Target As" (Internet Explorer). Save the file to your desktop.

  • Double-click on the file that you downloaded. A screen titled "WinZIP Self-Extractor" will appear.

  • Click the BROWSE button. Navigate to the folder where HAL was installed and double-click on that folder. (Default location is c:\Program Files\HAL.) The WinZip screen will re-appear with this location specified.

  • Click UNZIP. If the system asks if you want to overwrite the file, select YES. A message will appear saying "1 file(s) unzipped successfully."

  • Click CLOSE to close the WinZIP screen.

  • Start HAL.

Download this file if you have HALdeluxe.

 

Download this file if you have HAL2000.
