Why doesn't the "Pitch" control in the Personal Assistant Configuration screen work?

Solution

The text-to-speech (TTS) engine for HALvoices does not currently support changing the pitch of the voice. For this reason, there is currently no way for HAL to support it.

If I can only get HALvoices on CD, then will I have to order a new CD for each update?

How easy is the installation and integration of HALvoices?

What kind of update support can I expect? Will new voices cost money?

I upgraded HAL2000 to the new 1.3.23 version and now I'm getting an "Error Loading ASR DLL" when I try to start HAL.
