What is a Song List or Play List?

A "song list", also called a "play list", is a list of song names. These song names can be grouped by category (songs by the same artist, all the songs on an album, etc.) or by special interest ("mix" collection, "favorites", "party mix", "romantic mood", etc.). The HALdmc automatically creates song lists based on artist, album, genre, and year. You can also create "custom" song lists, like the special interest ones mentioned previously. By using song lists, you can give one command, such as "Play my Beatles music", and the HALdmc will play the songs in that list.
